Mentiroso!

The other night there was a reporter in Journal doing a story on Intercambios, so of course I made up a ridiculous story...and it made it into the paper! Here it is:

This was from a different night in Journal

A couple days ago it was pouring/hailing so we made nachos and drank wine and watched two movies, El Rey de los Huevones, and Borat; it was a noche tranquila. Today I’m about to start making pancakes and eggs for some friends and classmates – finally a real American breakfast.

I’m losing my English – PJ and I were laughing about this; I was telling him about the party the night before, and how when I went home I was hungry so I ate three or four “things of bread” and a banana. And when he started laughing at me, I was like, “what, is there a word for it in English?” To which he responded, “Yeah they’re called ROLLS.” La palabra se me habia olvidado completamente!

Also, the other day we had an evaluation to fill out in English in my Spanish class, and it was very difficult to develop coherent thoughts. In fact, I’m kind of struggling to write this blog, which sounds crazy but it’s true.
